Sunday School is for Everyone
You are invited to attend one of our many Sunday School Classes.
Sunday School is for all ages at the Chillicothe First. We strive to provide a Christian Education with strong ties to the student’s personal growth in faith, and loyalty to our congregation and denomination. Each week students gather to study the word of the God, increase their personal faith, and pray and support each other.
Children's Sunday School (Pre-K-5th) Returns in the fall
Classes for pre-k thru 5th grade that are to help children Grow Their Faith by Leaps and Bounds! Grow, Proclaim, Serve! incorporates Bible stories, activities, crafts, media and games into full faith experiences for children. With Grow, Proclaim, Serve! children will develop the skills to unlock the Bible message and grow their faith by leaps and bounds.
Pre-K meets in room 15.
Kindergarten and 1st grade meet in room 14.
2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade meet in room 13.
Junior High Classes -Returns in the fall
Classes just for young teens and addressing issues they face. Explore what our faith means, how it applies to our lives, and what we can do to share our love of God.
Junior High class meets upstairs in the Youth Fellowship Hall.
Senior High - Returns in the fall
Senior High Classes provide a time for studying God’s Word through teaching & discussion relevant to your life! For all 9th-12th grade students.
Adult Classes
Adult Sunday School is growing fast at the First United Methodist Church. (9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.) There are currently 2 classes to choose from and topics will vary see our Adult Classes page or call the office for the most up to date details at 309-274-5458.
Cellar Dwellers-meet in Room 26 to discuss hot topics and contemporary bible studies. (Returns in the fall)
Seekers- meet in the Room 27 for traditional bible studies.
Led by Dick Nudd.
Babysitting is available for children of adults in Sunday School each week in the Nursery.
